I'm sure someone else has told you this before me - but Breathitt County,
which was formed in 1839, was made up of parent counties CLAY, ESTILL, AND
PERRY. So there is a Clay, and Breathitt was part of Clay, etc.etc. I'm new
at all this - so not insulting your intelligence or info from more advanced
researchers - but thought I would mention it in passing. dee
