Update on my Hill family. After weeks of research this summer, I have discovered
that the 'Joel' Hill I was looking for is indeed a 'John'. I still haven't
discovered his roots. Does anyone have anything on the family below? Thanks for
you help.

John H? Hill b abt 1830 NC(according to the 1880 lee Co., KY Census)d bef 1900
Lee Co., KY Census. m m Arena Moore b1844 NC d 1919 Lee Co., KY m abt 1864
(where?) Her parents are: Thomas and Michel Butler Moore who are in the 1850
Surry Co., NC Census.John is about the right age to be 'the' John in the family
of Robert Hill and Elizabth Vest in Surry Co., NC but I have no proof.

Rufus H b 1865 NC (my ggrandparent)
Mary 1867 NC
Phoebe E 1868 NC
Colonel Henry 1870 VA
Walter J 1873 VA
John 1876 NC
James 1877 VA
twin girls Abba and Palla Alto 1878 Lee Co., KY
