Miss Dixie, here is some additional information on my Bailey Brown.
I am not 100% sure of any of this, but here goes.
I have Priscilla`s parents as John Christopher " Kit " Rayborn and Mary
Margaret Rainwater, and with 11 Siblings.
Now my G Garandfather Bailey F. Brown ( who married Lucy E. Stapp in Casey
Co. ) was married at the home of Thomas Rayborn, who I have as a brother of
John Christopher. Those listed as attending the marriage of Bailey F. and
Lucy E. were John Foley and George Brown. The marriage was preformed by a
D.M. Johnson.
I have a George W. Brown (born 1867) as a sibling of Bailey F. and a George
W.
( born 1859 ) who was a son of William W. ( child of Bailey and Jane ).
William W. was a 1/2 brother to Bailey F. with Jane Bell being his mother.
Either one of these George Browns could have been the one who attended the
marriage of Bailey F. and Lucy E.
A Lady sent some information today on some Browns, here is what I wrote back
to her.
The James Brown you listed could be a sibling of Bailey Brown, the dates are
right, as is the J.B.Brown you listed. The George W. Brown you list (
1782-1852 ) could very well be the father of Bailey Brown.
More to think about now, thank you for the information and anything else you
can think of would be appreciated.
Have a good one,
Bob
The information on the marriages was taken from the origional marriage books
at the courthouse in Liberty, both the marriage of Bailey to Jane Bell and
Priscilla Rayborn , and the marriage of Bailey F. to Lucy E. Stapp.
I have no idea who the parents of Bailey were, but the George W. ( 1782-1882)
would fit. What do you think ?
Bob
