Kay Adams, To research your problem would require many hours at the court
house. I am not familiar with such records even if I had time. I have since
thought of where some of the Purchase records are. They are in the Clay
County Historical Society in the old jail, upstairs. Laura Johnson is there
most every Tuesday thru Friday, telephone 606 598 5507. However, she would
not have time to search for the records are not indexed. Again, I don't
know if the answer would be in the records at the old jail. I only know
there are about 8 or10 feet of the books. A good job for a volunteer. We
need a 35 year old Jess Wilson.
