Hello Cousins!

Last night on the Madison Co. Genweb page, I discovered a roster of the 11th
KY "Chenault's" Cavalry, and two companies who were recruited in Estill Co.
Where are files for Confederate soldiers?

I found Jefferson Martin in Company D. Jefferson Martin was b. 1828, TN,
married Permilia Kerby, d/o Elisha in 1853, Estill Co. Jefferson was the son
of Thomas Martin, who lived in Estill Co.

Can anyone please tell me how or if I can get records for Jefferson Martin?

Also, since Jefferson Martin is not found on census reports after 1860, do
any of you know what happened to his wife, Permilia? Did she remarry? Could
someone please check 1870 Estill census to see if she is listed? She was
also called Amelia or Mealy.
