In the 1850 Clay County, KY census complied
by James E. Welch, Sr., I find the following:
William Whitamore----age 35--M---Born Tn---Farmer
Jane-------------------age 33--M---Born Tn.
Mary------------------age 9------- Born N.C.
Elizabeth---------------age 6------- Born N.C.
Emily------------------age 3
Daniel-----------------age 6/12
(The name was spelled Whitamore in the Census)

In the 1860 Clay County Census I found:

William Whitemore-----age 41--b. Tn. Farmer- Real Est value 1000
Jane--------------------age 39--b. Tn.
Mary A. Tweed--------age 19--b. N.C.
Elizabeth Whitemore---age 16--b. N.C.
Emeline----------------age 13--b. Clay Co.
Daniel------------------age 12--b. Clay Co.
Amanda----------------age 8--b. Clay Co
Henry------------------age 6--b. Clay Co
Michil------------------age 2--b. Clay Co

Hope this is the right family. There was only one
Whitamore/Whitemore in each census
