There is no record of your ancestor's marriage
in the Clay County Marriage Index Book III
1890-1909. This book was complied by: Clay County
Genealogical and Historical Society.
I also looked in the 1900 Clay County, Jackson
County and Owsley County census records
for the Newell name and could not find it.
Perhaps they were married in Clay City in
Powell County, KY. There is also a Clay, Ky.
in Webster County. Sorry that I could not be
of more help in your search.
