RESPONSE: I have two John W. MESSERs in my data base. One was John W.
MESSER, b. abt. 1871 in Knox Co. who mar. July 29, 1895 to Cordia MILLS.
This John W. MESSER was the s/o Allen MESSER, M.D., born January 7, 1844 in
Knox Co.; died May 22, 1898 who mar. March 29, 1866 in Knox to Margaret
PAYNE, dau. of Elihue/Elisha PAYNE and his lst wife, Mary Polly Elizabeth
VANNOY. Dr. Allen MESSER was a s/o Edward/Edmund MESSER and Annabelle
Dunlap/Anna/Anne PATTERSON.

Then I beleive that Asa MESSER, s/o Edward MESSER also had a John W.
MESSER.

Then I have "hanging out there with no identified parents", a John W.
MESSER who married Causley RICE. They married on Dec. 25, 1903. I am
not sure if this John W. MESSER who was b. abt. 1871 is the same as the
John W. MESSER who was the s/o Allen MESSER also b. abt. 1871 or not.
