Thanks, I have that information also. They are in the Lee County, Va 1860
census. Several people had suggested that he is another son of Samuel Scott
and Alice Muncy. I have a lot of information on that family, but I cannot
prove that Isom was a son. There was also an Isom who showed up in the 1850
Lee census with Eliza/Louisa Bright (from Boone Co. Indiana) and one
daughter Ann. I am pretty sure this was a first marriage, because Ann is
listed with the new family with the wife Cyntha and their children on the
1860 Lee census. From there they went to Clay county.
Isaac Scott, George and Isom were alll listed in Clay County on the
1870 census and thereafter. I would like to think they are related. If
anyone has any suggestions, please feel free to help. My Scott line seems
to be very elusive and hard to track. Also they have very distinct Asian
features.

RESPONSE:
I am not related so far as I know.
On the 1850 Lee Co., there is this listing:
Dwelling 848
SCOTT, Isom, 24, farmer, b. VA
. . Eliza, 21, IN
. . Ann, 3, b. VA
NOTE: I see no marriage record for these two in Lee Co.,
VA. Living 5
dwellings removed are a 27 year old Nathaniel SCOTT, married
to an
Elizabeth with two children. Next dwelling is George
SCOTT, age 49 with
wife, Nancy, and children who are Isaac, Martha, Jane,
George and Ruth
ranging from 19 down to 2 years.
Your Isom SCOTT seems to first show up in Clay Co. on the
1870:
Dwelling 35
SCOTT, Isom, 50, VA
. . Cintha, 37, NC
. . Jane, 14
. . Franklin, 12
. . Manerva, 10
. . Nancy, 8
. . Mary, 6
NOTE: Apparently these two married in Harlan Co. on July
18, 1854; however
, they do not appear on the 1860 Harlan Co. Fed. Census nor
are they in
Clay on the 1860. I do not see them on the 1850 Harlan Co.
Sorry, cannot
do anymore.
