Hi Angie and List, my grandmother had epileptic seizures and they put her in a sanatarium in Ohio I think. I had an old letter from her and seems like it was Ohio. Anyway, it's a thought. Pattsyd

Subject: [KYCLAY] TB Sanitariums around the 1890's

Hello List,

Has anyone heard of a TB Sanitarium or where they might have been?

My gr-gr grandparents, Jim & Mary Melissa Caudill Marcum both died around
1892 with TB. I am told that they were both in a "TB Sanitarium" when they
died about 3 weeks apart. Jim is buried in Silo, OK.

A new found cousin says they died in Kentucky and that Mary Melissa Caudill
Marcum is buried in Kentucky.

Any thoughts on this would be most appreciated.

Thank you,

Angie Jenkins Long

London, KY had a TB Sanitarium for many years.

This is next door to Clay County, so could be
a possibility.

There was a TB Hospital in London, it now houses office for the State of
Kentucky.

Melva, what does the corner stone out front say, 1946 or 1948. As you know,
I only say it a "few" times, but can't remember which date it is.
