This book is one of many where a genealogical society or other interested
group work hard collecting data and photos of the county, asking people to
contribute information about their families of the county. The group,
usually all volunteers, then collate, edit and index the book, and send to a
publisher for printing!
Any profits made from sharing are usually given to the society to obtain
resources AND provide help to those of us who are researching our families!
The Clay Co. book is very well done and contains much valuable information.
SO if your Eagle family is not included, it simply means NO ONE from that
family submitted biographies!
No, I would not call any of this series "Vanity" books!
