I am curious as to what documentation you have for him prior to 1900 (that
1894 date you mentioned) and the fact you state you have him in the 1920 and
1930 census. EXACTLY where and how is he listed. Who were some of his
children and anything else I could use to look for him.

There are lots of different ways to spell VALENTINE so it could be that or
maybe he used initials vs. his full name or any number of different things.

p.s. You states your dad was a twin. Interesting that that 1870 Fed.
census showed the two other VALENTINE boys as 12 year olds who could have been
twins.
