Folks --
These Ponders are directly related to those that came from York Co., SC and
are related to the Pattersons. They can be found earlier at Linville Cr in
Virginia associated with the Blacks and Adams families. The Ponders came from
Maryland. We've been able to link these folks up thru a common relative named
May Holcomb(e). Go to Wes Patterson's webpage at

Where did the Sandlin family originate?

Nancy,
Are you related to Margaret or Bill? How can I get a copy of his civil

Sherry,
I have Margaret Sandlin and Bill. Bill was known as Gamblin Bill. He
was listed in his Civil War application as a gambler.
Martha was b in 1846. She was the dau of John Kennedy Sandlin and
Martha Ponder.
Their children were Martha, Mary and Emilie. Bill may have died early
as Margaret m Marion Muncie in 1885.
