Hi Betty, My Smiths are from Breathitt Co. Ky, and My Jones Whitley Co. Ky.
I do believe some of my Smiths were found in Clay Co before moving to
Breathitt. My great grandparents were George Smith and Jemima Gillum. George
was the son of Elkanah Smith and Polly Ann Hounshell. Jemima was the
daughter of James Gillum and Louisa Cope. Charlene
