Surname: Shootman, Shoopman, Jeffers

I am looking for any information on the family of William Shootman/Shoopman.
He and his family moved to Clinton Co between 1848 and 1850. His son James
served in the 61st Tennessee Infantry, Confederate States Army. His sons
Pleasant, John, and Joshua served in the 12th Ky Cavalry US.
