Guy W. Vitatoe, age 90, of New Castle, died Friday at Americare of New
Castle following a brief illness. He was born September 12, 1916 in Clinton
County, Kentucky, a son of the late Lewis and Bertha (Bristoe) Vitatoe.

He retired from Delco Remy in Anderson in 1981 and was an active member of
Calvary Baptist Church in New Castle for many years. He enjoyed gardening,
especially loved flowers and baseball, and was an avid Colts fan.

He is survived by five children: Mary Wynn (husband: Glenn) Dalton of New
Castle, Glenna Koontz of New Castle, Marty (husband: Troy) Smith of Aaron,
KY, John (wife: Janice) Vitatoe of Pendleton, and Randel (wife: Debra)
Vitatoe of Milton; ten grandchildren: Rhonda Dalton of New Castle, Jerry
Glenn (wife: Sue) Dalton of New Castle, Rachel (husband: Tim) Walters of
Tampa, FL, Tammy (husband: Darvin) Taylor of Honolulu, HI, Jeff Koontz of
St. Augustine, FL, Jeanie (husband: Jim) Cummins of Indianapolis, Robert
Smith of Poto, OK, Kim (husband: Sam) Richardson of Springdale, AR, Vickie
(husband: Joe) Husar of Fortville, Lance (wife: Cindy) Vitatoe of Milton,
IN; sixteen great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife: Mary Lou Vitatoe in 2000, a son: Jerry
Vitatoe in 2005; three granddaughters: Elizabeth Ann Koontz, Heather Lynn
Vitatoe, and Molly Cummins; a son-in-law: Bobby Koontz, four brothers:
Herbert, Haskell, Virgil, and Earl Vitatoe, and a sister: Edna Pierce.

Services will be at 10: 30 a.m. Tuesday, May 29, 2007 at Hinsey-Brown
Funeral Service in New Castle with Bro. Bobby Slagle officiating. Burial
will follow in South Mound Cemetery. Friends may call from 5-9 p.m. Monday,
May 28, 2007 at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be given to the
Calvary Baptist Church in New Castle with envelopes available at the funeral
