Hi Jim,
I know this is an old post but I wanted to see if you have found Theobald David Gross's grave site yet. I think he in buried in Groce Cemetery but I have no ideal where to find records of this. There is a story where Simon (Theobald' son) would go up on a hill and sit under a shade tree. Could it be he was visiting his father Theobald grave, I think he was. Simon's home was an old log house that was located down the hill from Groce Cemetery "Groce Graveyard", I am sure he had shade trees to sit under around his home, he walk up that hill for a purpose, and I think it was to visit his parents grave. Simion is buried at Gross Cemetery where he used to go sit under a shade tree, I think he was buried beside his father. I would also like to see a marker go on Theobald's grave, and for my father to see a headstone on his gggg grandpa's grave before he is buried there. I join the DAR under Theobald Duvall 'David' Gross. He is listed as David Grofs on his penson papers.
