Relatively new member of the list so I'm amswering your roll call for the
first time. My husband's mothers family seems to have had early ties to
Kentucky. Among those that had Grant Co. ties were:

James NEW (son of Phebe and William)

Laura LAWRENCE (wife of James)

Ira NEW (son of James and Laura)
b: 11 AUG 1874KY
d: 12 APR 1942Drexel Cass Co., MO

Clara HATHAWAY (wife of Ira)
b: 17 AUG 1874IL
d: 22 MAY 1949Drexel, Cass Co., MO

This is a thumnail sketch of what I have on these families. The NEW family
appears to have been KY from the early 1800"s and left for Illinois during
the late 1800's. They moved on to MO around the turn of the century. Would
be happy to share what I have gathered through Ancestral Files and looking at
census data and would appreciate any new information. Pam
