I am new to the Grant County list so I wanted to post my Grant County
Ancestors.

My earliest Groves is John E. Groves born 1785 in Prince William Co, Va. He
relocated to Kentucky and married Priscilla Ship(s) in Clark Co, Ky 1816.
They settled in Grant Co KY and remained their until they died.
John Groves had 7 children. Two of his sons, George and Samuel are my
gggrandfathers. George Groves married Rebecca McClain of Harrison Co, Ky in
1843. His third child Perlina or Paulina Groves married her first cousin,
Daniel Tucker Groves in Grant Co in 1874.Daniel is the son of Samuel Groves
and Mildred Tuggle of Estil and Clark Co. KY.
Perlina had 3 children listed in the 1880 census. Robert Lee b. 1876,
William b.1878 and Annie b.1880. I have never found another record of
Perlina and two of her children Robert Lee and Annie. Other than a 4th
child, Julius Ceasar Groves, who was born in 1889 and raised by a Shearer or
Spear family. In 1900 her husband Daniel Tucker Groves moves to Springfield,
Ill and is a widow. Would love to know what happened to her and her two
children.
