Joy,
Work has kept me completely occupied the past 3 months. As a result I have
not been able to respond to e-mail messages or pursue my family roots.
Thanks very much for not deleting me from the mailing list.

My Grant County roots are through my grandmother, Nina Mabelle Fortner
McCune. My Grant County surnames are Fortner, Rankin, Green, Mills, Crews,
Sipple, Fitch, and possibly Canady. The time period is 18th and 19th
century as my great grandfather (Walter William Fortner) left Grant County
for Indiana in the 1890s.

I owe several mailing list recipients answers to messages. Thank you for
your patience, I hope to eventually answer them.

On military service in Kaiserslautern Germany,
John McCune

Hello, I hope this message finds you all doing well . My life has been very
busy latley and I haven't been able to devote alot of time to the list. I
would like to try to get things moving again with a roll call. Please give
your surnames and a general time period that your families lived in this
county.
Thank you,
