Hi everyone,

Does anyone on the list have any information on the original Kennedys in
Grant County, KY? There were two brothers I believe Joseph and James
Kennedy. James was born in Virginia in 1796 and Joseph was born in 1803.
Joseph had a son named Joseph and a son named Andrew.

Did these Kennedys come to Grant County from Woodford or Fayette County, KY?

I am trying to trace Elizabeth Ann Kennedy who was born in Woodford County,
KY in 1832. She married John Christopher Webster in Woodford County, KY in
1847. The marriage bond shows that consent was signed by her mother Jane
Kennedy. John Christopher Webster and his wife moved to Stately Run in Grant
County in 1851. She was probably related to the Kennedys in Grant County as
John Christopher Webster was related to William Webster (his brother) also
living in Stately Run and he had many cousins in Grant County.

If anyone has any information on the early Kennedys in Grant County it would
be greatly appreciated.
