Subject: [KYHARDIN] Brady ledger, Stithton/Camp Knox
Date: Wed, 16 Jul 2003 17:17:07 EDT

A few years ago I found a ledger for sale. It contained the customer account
records for H Brady, General Merchandise. It covers the years of 1912
through 1917, just before Camp Knox took over the area of the town of Stithton.
Some customers are known to have been in the area prior to 1912, as their
accounts have been "taken from old book".

The only addresses it lists are shown on the post containing flyleaf
information. Many of the customers, though, I've been able to find in enumeration
dist 59 of the 1910 Federal Census for Hardin Co.

A couple of years ago I tried to transcribe the ledger in entirety on KyF,
but it was just too big a job for me at that time. I told myself I'd go back
someday and finish what I had started. If you're a list member of Ky-Footsteps,
you will automatically receive the posts.

There are just too few times when you can nail down an ancestor between
census lists. I hope this helps someone.
