Mrs. Mary Cook died Friday near Saltwell age 78. Married Jasper Cook who
died many years ago. Burial in Saltwell Cem.

Kelat
A new switchboard for the Kelat exchange will be installed this week. It is
a 100 line board, equipped with all the latest improvements.

Mrs. Katie Cummins is now enjoying the luxury of a new piano.

Aaron Scott died last Wednesday at Harrison Hospital. Survived by wife,
formerly Miss Barnes, one boy, Lawrence, and two daughters, Mrs. Jeff Daugherty
and Mrs. Agnes Dunaway of Covington and several grandchildren. Buried in
Pythian Grove.

Deaths
Robert E. Smith, died in Cynthiana on Friday 17 Mar 1911. Age 51. Born in
Georgia but when he was an infant his father, a conferderate soldier, was
killed at the first battle of Manassas and shortly afterwards his mother and
brothers removed to Tennessee to make their home with the father's brother.
Married Miss Minnie Levi, of Connersville, daughter of H. M. Levi.

James A. Brown, died Tuesday in Los Angeles, CA. Born 3 Dec 1843 in
Millersburg. Married Miss Lizzie Smith of Millersburg in 1869. She has been dead
several years. His son Will Brown died in Cynthiana in 1893.

Stephen Whalen, age 70, died Friday in Sylvandell of pneumonia. Buried at
Barlow.

Mrs. Magdlena Breiner, Widow of Frederick Breiner who died in 1904, died
Sunday on Twolick. Buried at St. Edward's Cem.

Claysville
Ladner Keith, died at home of his parents in Washington, Mason Co. of
Typhoid Fever. Only son of Harvey and Mary Dobyns Keith. Age 20 years old.

Mrs. Kittie Harding Huls, died Tuesday, widow of Nim Huls.

Claysville
Leo Kabler, 6 year old son of George Kabler.

Our friend, Mr. Jack Huls, whose death was announced in last week's Democrat
was a member of the Bethlehem Christian Church in Clark county. In the
early part of Civil War Jack, Killis and John went to the Southern Army from
Claysville with Major Orville Cameron. Their brother, Pleasant, was in Memhpis
and went through the war with Gen. Johnson. Pleasant came home to Claysville
when the yellow fever devastated Memphis. Of the brothers, Garret is buried
in Elmwood Cem, Memphis. Tenn. Dick on the Isle of St. John, Prince Edwards
Island; Nim in the church yard cemetery at Kentontown; sister, Mrs. Sallie
Wills, afterwards Mrs. Jewett, at Winchester; Mrs. Jerusla Price at the Dawson
grave yard below Milford; and Pleas, Mrs. Winnie Price and Jack are buried in
Jacksonville, cemetery, Bourbon Co. A brother, John, lives in Indiana,
Killis with his brother-in-law, James Price, midway between Clasville and
Milford. There are two half sisters, Bettie Huls, wife of John Arnold, near Lair,
and Naomi, wife of Clark Tucker, Los Angeles, CA. Mr. Huls' mother's maiden
name was Lou Ann Fletcher, sister of the late Frank Fletcher. The two
families lived in calling distance of each other on West creek, near Claysville,
the old people dying there. Wm. Fletcher, grandfather of A. J. Huls, was born
in the fort at Boonesborough and was the second white male child born in
Kentucky. He died here and is buried at the side of his children in the Lee
graveyard near Claysville in Robertson County. Ira Wills of Winchester, Dick
Price of Donerail, Leonard and Lou Price, Mrs. Elisha Mockbee, of Claysville,
attended the funeral and burial of their uncle in Cynthiana Wednesday.

Mrs. Kittie Harding Huls, died 21 Mar 1911. Born 25 Jan 1856 to Hamby and
Bulina Asbury Harding. Married N. W. Huls 11 Mar 1888. Died age 55 years 1
month and 26 days. Buried at Kentontown cem.
