My friends -

The Jackson Purchase 2000 Homecoming Planning Committe met again last night
via chat room and I can say that the plans for the JP Homecoming in October
are starting to come together rapidly.

The purpose of this special post to the county lists which I host, and to
our flagship list, the
KYJP-L, is to bring this upcoming event to the attention of any new
subscribers that we have, or any tenured subscribers who may have somehow
missed earlier references to it.

I have created an address book of subscribers who have indicated that they
intend to be present at the JP Homecoming event, and these folks receive
special mailings about the status of the Homecoming from time to time.
Inasmuch as the program agenda, the event brochure and the registration
forms are going to go out electronically next week to those in this special
mailout group, I want to take a moment to ask anyone who is not in this
address book, but plans to attend the Homecoming, to send a message to me
by *private* e-mail (not to the Lists, please) so that I can get your
addresses added to this group. We have well over a hundred subscribers
already in that group, and the Planning Committee wants to be sure that the
word goes out to all who may wish to attend and have the materials that are
about to go out.

It is going to be a fun event, we think, and we hope many more of you will
join us.
