Kentucky Genealogical Society's 27th Annual Seminar
Friday, Aug. 3rd. Four workshops to be held at the Ky History Center, a
person can attend one in the morning and one in the afternoon. Subjects to
be announced. Cost, $5. each. Also, KGS Vice-President, Jim Carigan, will
have his computer workshop that am at the Franklin County Community Education
Center. More details on the computer workshop will be announced soon.
Dinner that evening at Zesty Palate Cafe on Steele St. Awards to be given
plus Mr and Mrs Russ Hatter will entertain. Cost and menu to be announced.
Saturday, Aug. 4th. Seminar at the Ky History Center. Speakers - am. Dr.
Kenneth Carstens of Murray State Univ. will speak on: George Rogers Clark,
the Illinois Battalion; Clark's Fort Jefferson and Civilian Community of
Clarksville, IN.
Box Lunch
In afternoon, Awardees will be introduced and then speaker: Ron Bryant of
the Ky Historical Society will speak on:

How to Gather Information From Photographs & Other Family Possessions
Genealogy as Family History
Putting Flesh on The Bones of a Family Skeleton
How to Actually Write & Publish a Family History.
