Generally, the term "original tract" can have two meanings: it can refer to
the original tract of land bought by the first land holder individual in a
family(such as the father who may be deceased), or it can refer to the
original tract granted by the state or federal government. You would have
to backtrack the land to determine which definition is applicable here.
