My friends -

Before moving to tonight's data post, I want to acknowledge and thank our
good friend Judy Gordon for her offer to post selections from the
centennial edition of the Hickman County newspaper back in the early
1950's. For those of you with Hickman connections, I know you will be
eagerly awaiting each post. These are the types of things that make these
Lists special - the sharing and giving is phenomenal. I also noticed a post
from Pat Scheele concerning possibly placing some or all of this material
on a web page. If there is sufficient interest, and Judy is willing, we can
explore that possibility, contingent upon any copyright restrictions we may
face with that type of wholesale and total reproduction.

Tonight, I will return to Marshall County, and pick up where we left off
with the Vital Statistics marriage records in that county in 1854. The
listing below will be a full one, covering all reported marriages for the
year of 1854. As always, if you see your ancestor listed, and you wish the
complete data(which, as usual, includes the ages of bride and groom, their
birth place and place of residence, whether single or widowed and the date
of the marriage), let me know and I will get it to you.
