In the biographical sketch of Joseph BOYD, sr., on page 232 of "Counties
of Christian and Trigg, Kentucky. Historical and Biographical" by William
Henry Perrin, it states that Joseph was the son of Ebenezer and Mary
(SPARKHAM) BOYD and that he was born in Trigg Co. in 1829 the sixth of
their eight children. At the time of publishing (1884) only four of the
eight children were still living and listed;
Elizabeth J. (wife of Martain CAMPBELL) Christian Co.
Matthew H. Davidson Co., TN
Martha C. (wife of Jesse SAMPER) Lafayette, Christian Co.
Joseph Roaring Springs, Christian Co.
If anyone knows the names or a possible source of the names of the other
children of Ebenezer and Mary (SPARKHAM) BOYD, I would appreciate hearing
from you.
