It's been some time since I posted to this list. With all the new
subscribers maybe someone has some info.

I am looking for information about the STEPENSON family in Fulton and
Hickman counties in the years 1870 thru 1910. My grandmother Timppy
Ellar Stephenson was born in Moscow, Hickman Co. in 1877. Her father was
John Stephenson and her mother was Eliza. They appeared in the 1880
census for Fulton Co. In this census John was 29, Eliza was 30, John
Jr. was 9, and Tempa was 3. There was also James, a brother of John, who
was 19. At least one other child, Annie, was born a few years later. She
was 51 in 1933 in Yell Co., AR and married to a man named Truett. I've
seen my grandmother's name spelled Tempa, Tempe, Timpi, Timppi and
Timppy. She spelled it as Timppy as I have it above. From some other
vague information I suspect that Eliza's maiden name was FOWLER, but I
haven't been able to confirm that yet.

I'm at a deadend here so would appreciate any information about any
Stephensons of Fowlers in Fulton and Hickman counties during those
years.
