I am searching for Drury/Drewry C. Stevens, born in Caldwell County, KY,
probably before 1820. He was the son of John and Lucretia Calhoon Stevens who
moved to the Graves County area around 1824. Drury C. (for Calhoon or perhaps
Chew?) married an Elizabeth Elliott in Christian County in 1847.

I have copies of a land grant made to Drury C. Stevens in 1859 in McCracken
County. This grant was for the NE quadrant of Section 35, Township 6, Range 2
East. As far as I can tell this is very near the Graves County line, north
and somewhat east of Symsonia. A John E. Stevens, who I believe was a brother
of Drury C. and also my ancestor, was later (1873) granted land all around
this parcel.

I have read the entire 1860 census for McCracken County. While I saw a few
Stevens families, I did not see Drury C. or his wife Elizabeth. Can anyone
help me find this couple in McCracken, Graves, or Christian Counties after
1850?

I will greatly appreciate any information anyone is willing/able to give me
about this family!
