My friends -

I had mentioned in my posting of last night - and I want to repeat it here
- that, due to other activities that have kept me away from the computer
most of the day, there will
be no data post tonight. We will return to data posts tomorrow.

In addition, I had hopes of responding to all the pending requests for data
today, but it appears I will not succeed in that task, so any of you who
have pending requests for data with me can expect to receive them before
the end of the day tomorrow.

A bit of Administratavia - I want to remind all of us that our mission here
on the JP List is the exploration of the genealogy of the people of the 8
counties of the Jackson Purchase in Kentucky. We have had some posts on
various subjects over the past few days which, while informative and
interesting in many ways, are not really related directly to our mission.
Please keep our mission in mind when you post to the List. I won't growl at
anyone for an occasional family anecdote that is a bit away from our main
mission, but we need to stay as focused as we can, most of the time. That
is what has made our List one of the best(although I admit to being
prejudiced<g>) - and with your help, it will continue to be an outstanding
vehicle for people to use to further their research in the JP region.
