To the unnamed good Samaritans I am communicating with:

Thanks in advance for your time and effort in helping me research the
following:
My gggrandparents, John & Rachel Cunningham and children (all listed below)
appear in 1850 census in Warren Co., Tn.
By the time of the 1860 census, this family has relocated to Ballard County
(Pickett's District), Kentucky (listed below). However, my gggrandfather,
John, is not listed in the census with his family. Instead, wife Rachel is
listed as head of household. I do not have access to the 1870 Kentucky
Census. By the 1880 census (listed below), ggrandfather, Jerome Joseph
Cunningham, has started his own family in Ballard County...but where is
gggrandma, Rachel? In the 1890 census, ggrandfather Jerome Joseph
Cunningham and family is residing in Carlisle County, Tn.
Questions:
1. What happened to gggrandfather John by 1860? Return to Arkansas
withour family? If death, did he leave a will? Remarried?
2. Where was the family in 1870? Any additions or subtractions by then?
3. What happened to gggrandmother Rachel by 1880? If death, did she
leave a will? Remarried?
4. Any biographical info regarding this clan that you can share?
Participation in the Civil War? Please don't break my heart with news that
they participated on the Union side!
5. What is the family's pre-1850 Arknasas connection? Note that the
second son's name includes "Conway"...an allusion to "Conway, Arkansas"? I
see that the 1840 Census of Conway , Ark. includes a John Cunningham and
notes 3 in the family. Could this be "my" John , Rachel, and John J.H.
Cunningham?
