My friends -

Today, we will move over into Calloway County, and resume our review of the
1830 census of that county. In prior segments, we had completed about
three-fourths of the county, and with this post today, and one other, this
series will be complete.

If you see a name of interest to you, and you would like the complete age
enumerations for that household, let me know and I will get that
information to you. As always, your help in not resending this entire
message back to me with you request is very much appreciated.

I have been asked, from time to time, by a fair number of our subscribers,
about possibly having a KY Jackson Purchase "homecoming" gathering at some
time in the future(perhaps in 2000), at a location in the Jackson Purchase
area. A few of our sister regional lists and a few county lists have done
this, and the result, from reading the commentary on these lists, has been
positive. So, I am "throwing open the floor" for discussion about this
issue. Is it something that you would like to see happen? If so, what sort
of activities should be planned - should we have some "seminars" on
genealogical topics, in addition to things like cookouts and so forth? I am
certainly willing to consider looking further into this possibility, *if*
there is sufficient interest(and I would say we would want to have at least
20% of our 540 List subscribers indicate an interest and actually be able
to attend to make it really worthwhile). You can give me your thoughts by
private e-mail or to the List as a whole. It may not be workable, but we
can kick it around a bit.
