My friends -

I am running a bit behind today due to an unforeseen quick trip out of town
and back again. Those of you who are awaiting a response from me on an item
from yesterday's data post can expect to receive it within 24 hours. I hope
to have all of those responses out by the end of the day tomorrow.

In the meantime, we are returning to our review of the Marshall County
Vital Statistics Births Records in the 1852-1860 time frame. We have
advanced to the year 1858 in prior segments of this series, and we will
continue with that year in this installment.

Subscriber to the lists which I host can obtain the full dataset for an
individual in the listing below(which usually contains the date of birth,
gender of the child, if not obvious, name of father and maiden name of
mother, and, in many cases, the area in Marshall Co. where the birth
occurred) by sending a request to me for that data. As always, your
continuing assistance in not resending this entire message back to me with
the request is appreciated.

Just a bit of administratavia - and a reminder - one of our guidelines on
the JP List which helps us avoid having large numbers of messages appearing
in our in boxes each day is the one which requests that "chatting" about
the particulars on individual lines not be conducted through the List, but
rather by private e-mail between the parties. Once the initial inquiry has
been posted to the List, and a response appears, further discussion about
the specifics of a line should be done through private e-mail between the
parties. All those who may have an interest in the surname in question can
join in that private discussion, of course, and the original posting clues
us into what surname and location(s) within the JP region are involved.
