My friends -

I had planned to move down to Fulton County today, but I was reminded by
one of our subscribers that I had indicated that I would be going up to
Ballard County last week for a posting, but then had to cancel the data
post for the day in question. So I am going to move up to Ballard in
today's post. It is true that I do a smaller number of postings for Ballard
and Carlisle counties as compared with the other counties in the JP, but
that is due primarily to the fact that I get very few requests or inquiries
about those two counties, in comparison to the other counties in the JP.
Carlisle was a "late-comer" of course, having become a county in 1886.

We will resume our review of late 19th century marriages in Ballard County
in this post. These are primarily marriages that occurred in the 1889 -
1900 time frame.

Subscribers to the JP and Ballard lists can obtain the full dataset for a
marriage in the listing below(which usually contains the dates of license
and marriage, name of surety, who performed the ceremony and where,
witnesses, and the occasional consent) by sending a request to me. As
always, your assistance in not resending this entire message back to me
with the request continues to be appreciated.

Tomorrow, we will get back down to Fulton County.
