Subject: [KYJP] Fulton County - New Series - Early 20th Century Wills - Part 1

My friends -

We are returning to Fulton County today, and beginning a new series for
that County, covering wills in the 1900 - 1908 time frame. This is in
keeping with my pledge to occasionally offer some records which reach into
the early years of the 20th century, which now has been nearly 100 years ago.

First, however, I have had a number of inquiries from subscribers
concerning the Filson History Quarterly article on Western Kentucky and
Paducah, requesting the Volume and Number of this issue, so that they could
obtain it through their local libraries. I should have stated that
information in my earlier post. The piece is contained in Volume 76, Number
2 (Spring 2002), pp. 181-199.

Moving now to Fulton County, subscribers to the JP and Fulton lists can
obtain an abstract of a will for an individual shown in the listing below
by sending a request to me. And, as always, your assistance in not
resending this entire message back to me with the request continues to be
appreciated.

I failed to include, in my Q&A posting of a few days ago, a question I get
from time to time about whether I am still making photocopies of original
documents(from the microfilm) from the JP counties for researchers who need
them to verify their findings. I do still make these photocopies twice a
month through our local genealogical library, which has several new, and
very excellent, microfilm copiers with laser printers. If anyone needs
these copies, please contact me by private e-mail and I will be glad to
provide the details.

Tomorrow, we will have another in the KY Cases at Law series.
