My friends -

I had hoped to have another miscellaneous file offering over the weekend,
but the file I selected is going to have to have some restoration work
beyond just conversion before it will be usable, so, as a result, I did not
post such an offering.

Today's post returns us to Graves County, where will continue with our
review of some early newspaper snippets. These generally cover the
1880-1885 time frame. The snippets' content can range from things as
mundane as a note of a visit from someone in another area to obituaries,
memorial notices, death and birth notices, weddings, crimes, and just about
anything else that could be the subject matter of a newspaper piece.

Subscribers to the JP and Graves lists can obtain the text of a snippet
from the list below by sending a request to me(not to the lists, please).
Because some of these snippets can be lengthy, I will invoke my usual
request that no more than 3 snippets be requested. And, as always, your
continuing assistance in not resending this entire message back to me with
the request is appreciated.

Tomorrow, we will move back to Marshall County.
