Thank you all for the prompt response and the information from the census records. I am very grateful.

I don't know the names of James' parents yet as I was hoping he was still living at home in 1860. James Ray married Temperance Kirkland in Henry County in 1862, he fought for the Confederacy, and he died around 1875 because his widow remarried. I was looking in Henry County all this time and in Graves County.

This list is great...thanks for all the help.
