Don't really know the history, but at one time there was an Orphanage. I
think it was in the Southeastern portion of Graves Co. not too far from the
Calloway Co. line. It was still active about 1970. I have no idea when it
was founded, but at the time I was on the property (c. 1970) the buildings
looked fairly old.

As of a few years ago, the property still existed pretty much as it did when
the Orphanage was operating. At the time, I was told that while in the
area, the helicopters carrying President Bill Clinton chose the property
land on while the President took a little side expedition to visit a
cemetery where some of his relatives were supposed to be buried. There was
never any report of this in the local media, but the person who told me of
this swears it to be true.
