Participate in the Keesee Honor Wall . . .
. . . at the second national Keesee family reunion June 20-22, 2002. At a time in our country’s history when family is so important, we hope you will join us in honoring our proud heritage. A wall in the “family room” at the national reunion will be designated as the HONOR / MEMORY WALL of the entire grand clan Keesee (and all alternate spellings of the name) for the duration of the three day reunion. Each person honored / remembered will be represented by his / her own “brick” with his / her name in LARGE, BOLD TYPE, and a full 8” x 11” sheet of paper will represent each “brick” in the wall. LIVING honorees will have their names plus the word HONOR on their bricks; DECEASED honorees will have their names plus the word MEMORY on their bricks. Our goal is to cover the entire memory wall with “bricks” representing the entire grand clan Keesee.
Your generous support of this project will allow you the opportunity to honor favorite family members / ancestors at a national family gathering while helping the planning committee to keep the costs of the reunion as reasonable as possible so that everybody who wants to can attend. Just imagine how proud you’ll feel to see your grandmother’s, favorite uncle’s, DAR ancestor, first grandchild, or any other Keesee family member’s name, even your own (!) in BIG BOLD PRINT on the HONOR WALL in Danville in June! Keesees and Keesee descendants from all over the United States will be at this reunion, traveling from Delaware to California, Florida to Kentucky, Oklahoma to Texas, Tennessee to North Carolina, and, of course, Virginia and everywhere in between! So, jot your list and send it with the appropriate data, below, ASAP, and let’s fill up that wall! What a testimony that will be to our proud family heritage! Folks attending the reuni!
on are encouraged to claim their “bricks” for posterity’s sake at the conclusion of the reunion.
It’s simple to participate! The family member honored can be any Keesee family member, descendant, or ancestor, living or dead, even yourself! All you have to do is:
1.) write name of each honoree on an 8 ½” x 11” sheet of paper. If you are honoring more than one ancestor, you may put all info on one sheet. Please PRINT CLEARLY.
2.) write the word HONOR or MEMORY, as appropriate, beside the name of each honoree.
3.) write the honoree’s birthday, including year. (OPTIONAL)
4.) write the honoree’s dot clan color. (OPTIONAL)
5.) enclose $10 (ten dollars) for each honoree. Make all checks payable to Deb Sauls.
Send the above information with a check in the appropriate amount to:

Thanks for honoring our heritage and supporting our national family reunion by participating in this project! Generous donations from family members, as well as this and a couple of other fundraisers, have helped the reunion committee keep the costs of registration and our culminating dinner Sat. PM, June 22 exactly the same as those same costs in 2000. Other financial donations are welcome; just stipulate, DONATION – 2002 REUNION in your check’s memo. You do not have to attend the reunion to participate in the HONOR WALL although we hope that you will join us. The planning committee has lots planned for your enjoyment. You will see a news flash soon with many details. We’re all going to have a blast!
