COX, Mary J., age 21, born in Virginia; father b. in VA; mother b. in
Tennessee

I don't see Joseph PATTERSON in either the 1860 or 1870 Whitley Co. Fed.
Census. I also don't see him in Knox Co. in the same time period nor in
the 1880.
