Someone posted this message and then when I tried to respond it came
back as permanent failure. So thought I would post here in case they
see it.

I would love to help with the Gray and Messer connection. I don't
have much on Ebb and Winnie, but I do have a lot on Winnie's fathers
family and Ebb's mother's family. I am connected to both sides.

Would you be interested to a link to my tombstone web site? I have
tons of Messer stones there.

Does your neighbor know where Winnie and Ebb are buried? I have that
he is buried in Sandy Branch, Kentucky but that is it.

I'm sending what I do have on this family. If your neighbor isn't
online I would love to write her if she would prefer.

As for my connection I have my gg grandpa Thomas Jefferson Powell who
m. Eumphemia Messer so the Powell family and the Messer family were
connected.

1. Ebenezer Gray. Born on 15 Jun 1845. Ebenezer died in Flat Lick,
Knox County, Kentucky on 10 Mar 1933; he was 87. Buried in Sandy
Branch, Kentucky.

On 10 May 1866 when Ebenezer was 20, he married Winnie Messer,
daughter of Moses Messer , Jr. & Sarah Geezeline. Born in Apr 1844.
Winnie died in 1936 in Knox County, Kentucky.

They had the following children:

Georgia died in Barbourville City Cemetery, Barbourville, Knox
County, Kentucky on 20 Dec 1968; she was 74.

he was 50.

On 7 Feb 1942 when Ed was 19, he married Selvia H. Jackson, in Knox
County, Kentucky.

They had one child:

17. Christine G. Gray. Born on 1 Jul 1922 in Knox County, Kentucky.
Christine G. died in Norwood, Ohio on 30 Sep 1995; she was 73. Buried
in Sandy Branch Cemetery, Flat Lick, Knox County, Kentucky.

Christine G. first married Johnny Murphy.

Christine G. second married Sam Hensley.
