Does anyone have any references to the above families? Our Chesley
CONANT/CANANT/CANNANT (etc) came from Laurens Co, SC to Laurel Co KY, and left
there for Mississippi. We are from his third wife, Elizabeth ____. There
were 3 children of this marriage. We know that some of his children stayed in
KY and settled there. WE have tracked one Mary Conant. We know that there
were a few who settled a place called Conant, KY near or in Laurel Co. It has
been very difficult to find the proper records on this family. If anyone has
a cemetery book, church records, etc, which might list some of the members of
this family, we would be most grateful.
