Mr. T.W. Casteel, of Goshen, Mo., but formerly of Laurel County a member of
the Twenty fourth Kentucky Infantry Volunteers during the war, is visiting
relatives in this county. He is an old patron of the ECHO and while here
renewed his subscription.

Thanks to JLoomer, Laurel County Historical Society, the Mt Echo and the
Laurel Co mail list for the Christmas present. T W Casteel is F (Felix) W
Casteel the son of James Casteel and his first wife Elizabeth Wild. Felix is
my great grandfather. Until now I had no proof that he visited Laurel County
after he left in 1872 for Mercer Co, Missouri. He must have been an avid
reader of newspapers. He was one of the first subscribers to the Princeton
Telegraph when it began publishing in 1873. Apparently he subscribed to the
Mt Echo also.

Merry Christmas to All,
Leoneita Casteel Milner
