John,
I just jumped into the Moore notes at this point -- thanks for reprinting
the 1850 census information about James and Matilda Moore and family. Their
daughter Elizabeth is my gggrandmother, and m.1863 to Elbert
Andrews/Anders/Andes. The old family Bible has death dates listed for James
and "Tilda", and if anyone is interested (and I can find my copies of the
pages) I'll be glad to give those dates. They were ten years apart, and I'm
thinking Matilda died in 1882, James in 1892.

Forgive me for losing track, but do you have any information on parents for
James or Matilda? Thanks!

Marriage bond information from Menifee Co. Ky. indicates Simeon Moore
was
born in Owsley Co. KY. Most of the Moores in Owsley Co descend from James
Moore
(b. abt 1755) and Eleander Hamilton. You should be able to find much
information on this family online. My ggg-grandmother is Nancy Moore from
this
line which is one of my 2 Moore lines.

There is a Simeon (age 6) in the 1850 Owsley Co. Census who has a
brother
named Daughetry which is sometimes shortened to Daugh.
