The Pine Grove Cemetery is now the A. R. Dyche Cemetery. This Cemetery was
originally started by Mr. and Mrs. Edward Parker in 1896 when their 16 year
old daughter died. Several friends and relatives were buried there. Mrs.
Maria L. Jackson acquired it a few years later and renamed it the Pine
Grove Cemetery. In 1920 the London Masonic Temple purchased it, but later
had financial difficulties and sold it to A.R Dyche in the early
1930's. He renamed it the A.R. Dyche Cemetery, after his father. In
1935, he gave the Cemetery to the city of London. It is fully indexed it
the book "London Area Cemeteries, Laurel County Kentucky" and is available
from the Laurel County Historical Society. The cemetery is located in the
city of London on South Main Street or old U.S. 25 South.
