Emma Martha (Tinch) Kirby

Mrs. Emma Martha (Tinch) Kirby, 84, of 508 44th Ave. East Lot G20, Bradenton, Fla., passed away Wednesday, June 18, 2003, at Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington, Ky.

She was born on Sept. 29, 1918, in Hazel Patch, Ky., the daughter of Mills W. and Rose Ann (Day) Tinch. Mrs. Kirby was a member of the Towne Boulevard Church of God.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband of 67 years, Floyd Kirby, in February 2003; sons Donnie and Joseph Kirby; brothers Joel, Adel, Elbert, Virgle, George, Jess and Ira Tinch; and sisters Mary Eversole, Sarah Rose, Etsie Meadows, Golden Carpenter and Nola Philpot.

She is survived by her son, Floyd Kenneth Kirby of Somerset, Ky.; a daughter, Shirley Mato, and husband, Jim, of Franklin, Darlene Hayes, and husband, Lamar, of Nancy, Ky., and Joan Drake and Jim Pipkin of Bradenton, Fla.; sister-in-law Tinnie Tinch of Franklin; 16 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.

ARRANGEMENTS: Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, June 23, at Eaton-Anderson & Unglesby Funeral Home, 1357 E. Second St., Franklin. Burial will be in Woodhill Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
