50 years ago (1947)

Owners of bicycles, wagons, scooters, tricycles, take notice! As a new
feature, a vehicle parade will be held Thursday at the Dorah H. Merz
Memorial playground. Prizes will be offered for different dress styles
of the drivers and original decorations on the vehicles.

100 years ago (1897)

Mr. Frank S. Wiley, of Tampa, Fla., is a guest of Misses Eugene and
Nettie Steward Murphy, of East Front Street.
