My ancestors arrived in Platte Co., MO, Marshall twnshp at BEAN LAKE in 1850:
James E. Rose m . Mary Horton and their lines included MCQUEEN, BYRAM and
PHILLIPS.
Their children married with GILL.....KIDWELL......RISK ....GORE......and many
others in the area, All born at Bean Lake. I recently visited the
area....before the flood and then to see the disaster after the flood.
Everyone who lived around the lake has left and the county bought up all my
ancestral lands and the houses were torn down.
My grandparents and great-grandparents and their families are buried in the
cemetary at
IATAN.
