Good evening, Chris
I spent part of the weekend is St. Lewis, and of course, much of
it traveling there and back. I am tired tonight, but happy with what
was accomplished
From page 302, I quote, being the second paragraph on that page:
" About 1778 Thomas Moore married Nancy Ann Whaley, daughter of James
Whaley, a Loudoun County, Virginia plantation owner. and his wife,
Penelope (King) Whaley. James Whaley, in his will, named his children:
......."
Next five sons are listed with William listed second. Then there
is a listing of eight daughters, with the third named as "Ann Moore".
An interesting side note: Sarah Bean-Pierson-Reives-Moore, born on
London Bridge, London, England, was not only the mother of Sarah
Reives , (wife of Samuel Wood and mother of his seven sons), but also
the mother of the Thomas Moore Sr. listed above. In an interesting
twist, Whaley Moore married acousin, Mary (Polly) Wood, (Granddaughter
of Sarah (Reives) Wood.
So this will give everyone a better idea of the Wood/Whaley/Moore
connections in my family.
Hope this helps.
Sincerely,
John Hugo Cullen
